     Philip Goodridge was born on 6 July 1714.² He was the son of Philip Goodridge and Mehitabel Woodman.¹ He married (?) (?)² He resided at Lunenburg, Massachusetts.²

     Dea. David Goodridge was born on 24 November 1716.² He was the son of Philip Goodridge and Mehitabel Woodman.¹ He married Elizabeth Martin, daughter of John Martin and Jane Durgin, before 1742.³ He died on 13 July 1786 at age 69.² He resided at South Fitchburg, Massachusetts.²

     Transcribed from Case: "resided in South Fitchburg, Mass., where he settled at an early date. In 1747, a party of hostile Indians from Canada made an incursion into the town, and one day while Dea. David Goodridge was out looking for a stray cow they surrounded him and demanded his surrender. He spurred his horse and escaped to the garrison. An alarm was fired, men came in from the neighboring settlement, and the Indians retired and concealed themselves. In his flight he lost his hat, and ten years after, an Indian prisoner, taken somewhere on the Connecticut River, had on his head the indentical hat.

     Fitchburg was set off from Lunenburg, Feb. 3, 1764, and David Goodridge was one of the first board of selectmen chosen. He was sent as delegate of the town to the provincial congress which met at Concord and Cambridge in 1774 - John Hancock, president - and was sent again the next year to the congress which met at Cambridge, Feb. 1, 1775.

     David Goodridge moved from Ipswich to Lunenburg. In 1741, Elizabeth Martin, wife of David Goodridge, was dismissed from the Chebacco Church in Ipswich to the church in Lunenburg.

     In 1640, John Martin was admitted freeman in Charlestown. Another John Martin was admitted freeman in 1665. John and Jane (Durgin) Martin, parents of Elizabeth, probably came to Ipswich in 1733, as the births of their children are recorded together in the page of that year."³

     Joseph Goodridge was born on 1 September 1719.¹ He was the son of Philip Goodridge and Mehitabel Woodman.¹ He married Sarah Foster on 30 January 1746.¹ He resided at South Fitchburg, Massachusetts.¹

     As of 30 January 1746,her married name was Goodridge.¹ Sarah Foster married Joseph Goodridge, son of Philip Goodridge and Mehitabel Woodman, on 30 January 1746.¹

     Daniel Goodridge was born on 7 February 1721.¹ He was the son of Philip Goodridge and Mehitabel Woodman.¹ He married Sarah (?) in November 1754.¹

     As of November 1754,her married name was Goodridge.¹ Sarah (?) married Daniel Goodridge, son of Philip Goodridge and Mehitabel Woodman, in November 1754.¹

     Rebecca Goodridge was born on 17 April 1723.¹ She was the daughter of Philip Goodridge and Mehitabel Woodman.¹ She married Ezekiel Goodridge, son of Jeremiah Goodridge and Mary (?), on 18 December 1744.¹

     As of 13 June 1707,her married name was Goodridge.¹ Hannah Brown married John Goodridge, son of Jeremiah Goodridge and Mary Adams, on 13 June 1707.¹

     John Goodridge was born on 24 June 1708.² He was the son of John Goodridge and Hannah Brown.¹ He married Elizabeth Woodman on 5 January 1737.² He resided at Gloucester, Massachusetts.²

     As of 16 November 1702,her married name was Goodridge.¹ Hannah Dole married Edmund Goodridge, son of Joseph Goodridge and Martha Moores, on 16 November 1702.¹

     Edmund Goodridge was born on 2 September 1703.² He was the son of Edmund Goodridge and Hannah Dole.¹ He married Lydia (?)²

     Mary Goodridge was born on 27 September 1704.¹ She was the daughter of Edmund Goodridge and Hannah Dole.¹ As of 31 May 1733,her married name was Hoyd.¹ She married Enoch Hoyd on 31 May 1733.¹

     Enoch Hoyd married Mary Goodridge, daughter of Edmund Goodridge and Hannah Dole, on 31 May 1733.¹

     Research Note: In the Case book Enoch's surname is listed as Hoyd (?).¹

     Elizabeth Goodridge was born on 2 November 1708.¹ She was the daughter of Edmund Goodridge and Hannah Dole.¹

     Abigail Goodridge was born on 4 January 1712.¹ She was the daughter of Edmund Goodridge and Hannah Dole.¹ As of 4 July 1734,her married name was Bean.¹ She married James Bean on 4 July 1734.¹

     James Bean married Abigail Goodridge, daughter of Edmund Goodridge and Hannah Dole, on 4 July 1734.¹

     Anne Goodridge was born on 10 June 1716.¹ She was the daughter of Edmund Goodridge and Hannah Dole.¹

     Richard Goodridge married Jane (?)² He was born on 20 March 1719.² He was the son of Edmund Goodridge and Hannah Dole.¹

     Oliver Goodridge was born on 20 July 1722.¹ He was the son of Edmund Goodridge and Hannah Dole.¹ He married Ruth Woodman 14 Feb 17-4.¹

     Research Note: The marriage date for Oliver and Ruth is not a typo. That is exactly the way Case has it in the book. My guess is either 1744 or 1754.¹

     As of 14 Feb 17-4,her married name was Goodridge.¹ Ruth Woodman married Oliver Goodridge, son of Edmund Goodridge and Hannah Dole, 14 Feb 17-4.¹

     Research Note: The marriage date for Oliver and Ruth is not a typo. That is exactly the way Case has it in the book. My guess is either 1744 or 1754.¹
