     Elijah Goodrich was born on 3 June 1755.² He was the son of Zebulon Goodrich and Anna Francis.¹ He married Betsey Orvis.² He and Betsey Orvis resided at Wethersfield, Connecticut.²

     David Goodrich was born on 14 December 1757.¹ He was the son of Zebulon Goodrich and Anna Francis.¹ He married Huldah Booth on 25 September 1783.¹

     As of 25 September 1783,her married name was Goodrich.¹ Huldah Booth married David Goodrich, son of Zebulon Goodrich and Anna Francis, on 25 September 1783.¹

     As of 5 October 1737,her married name was Goodrich.¹ Hannah Olmsted married Benjamin Goodrich, son of Col. David Goodrich and Prudence Churchill, on 5 October 1737.¹

     Daniel Goodrich was born on 10 December 1738.² He was the son of Benjamin Goodrich and Hannah Olmsted.¹ He married Anna Baldwin.² He and Anna Baldwin resided at Hancock, Massachusetts.² He died on 11 March 1807 at age 68.²

     Abigail Goodrich was born on 26 February 1740.¹ She was the daughter of Benjamin Goodrich and Hannah Olmsted.¹ Her married name was Osborne.¹ She married Hezekiah Osborne.¹

     Hezekiah Osborne married Abigail Goodrich, daughter of Benjamin Goodrich and Hannah Olmsted.¹

     Benjamin Goodrich was born on 17 January 1742.¹ He was the son of Benjamin Goodrich and Hannah Olmsted.¹ He has also been reported to have been born 17 January 1743.² He married Mary Olive Douglass.² He and Mary Olive Douglass resided at Hancock, Massachusetts.² He died on 30 May 1776 at Stone Arabia, New York, at age 34.²

     Transcribed from Case: [Benjamin] "was a lieutenant under his brother Daniel at the Siege of Quebec; was wounded by a gun-shot in the left breast, and when only partially healed returned to the service again with his company; the wound soon after broke out afresh, and he was ultimately discharged and left for home; he only reached Stone Arabia, N.Y., where he died."²

     Samuel Goodrich was born on 6 December 1743.¹ He was the son of Benjamin Goodrich and Hannah Olmsted.¹ He was killed in battle on 3 December 1776 at age 32.¹

     Nathan Goodrich was born on 21 September 1745.² He was the son of Benjamin Goodrich and Hannah Olmsted.¹ He married Hannah Fuller on 8 June 1764.² He and Hannah Fuller resided at Hancock, Massachusetts.² He died on 30 May 1806 at age 60.²

     Transcribed from Case: "Nothing is known of him farther than that he joined the Shakers, about 1785, where he remained until his death; it is not known whether his wife joined with him or not, but it is quite certain that his children did."²

     Note: This last statement is contradicted by the fact that Case has Nathan's oldest son Nathan married and had fourteen children. If these children are "attached" to the proper father then he certainly was not a Shaker. The Shakers practiced celibacy.³

     David Goodrich was born on 22 July 1747.² He resided at Hancock, Massachusetts.² He was the son of Benjamin Goodrich and Hannah Olmsted.¹ He married Ann Robinson.² He died on 19 February 1802 at age 54.²

     Transcribed from Case: [David] "was for some years a farmer in Hancock, but about 1780 the entire family joined the Shakers, of whom nothing further is known."²

     Ezekiel Goodrich was born on 13 August 1749.² He resided at Hancock, Massachusetts.² He was the son of Benjamin Goodrich and Hannah Olmsted.¹ He married Eunice Rathbone, daughter of Rev. Valentine Rathbone, on 23 December 1760.² He died on 16 April 1783 at age 33.²

     Transcribed from Case: "he, with his family, joined the Shakers about 1770, where he died suddenly after a few years, leaving his family; his widow died among them, and, so far as known, all the children did, save Ezekiel Olmsted, who ran away from them at the age of 16 and found shelter and protection among his mother's relatives."²

     Note: I have several problems with the data put forth by Case on this family. Firstly, he married at the age of 11 and was having children at the age of 12?! I do not believe this at all and here are my reasons:
When I get the entry for his son Ezekiel Olmsted Goodrich in the database at a later time, you will see that on that entry, Case has his birth date as 1 Oct 1773. On this page with his siblings it is listed as 1 Oct 1763.
     I have a feeling that Case made a mistake in editing and every date on page 79 and 80 (for this family) are off exactly 10 years. A typo if you will. That would be much more believable and it would also be consistent with the statement by Case that "he died suddenly after a few years".
     So my hypothesis is that the marriage date should be 23 Dec 1770, Eunice T. was born 9 Oct 1771, Elizur born 1 Oct 1775, Valentine born 13 Sep 1777, and Joshua born 7 Apr 1780. The family then joined the Shakers in 1780 not 1770. This is also consistent with my understanding that the first Shakers led by Ann Lee did not come to America until 1774. If the Shakers didn't exist in America until 1774, it would be difficult for Ezekiel and his family to have joined them in 1770.
     If anyone has any information that would help clear this up, we would love to hear from you.³

     Elizur Goodrich was born on 19 April 1751.² He was the son of Benjamin Goodrich and Hannah Olmsted.¹ He married Lucy Wright on 15 December 1799.² He died on 2 February 1812 at age 60.²

     Transcribed from Case: [Elizur] "was for a few years a prosperous merchant at Pittsfield, Mass., for nearly or quite ten years; disposing of his mercantile interests at Pittsfield in 1787, both he and his wife joined the Shakers at New Lebanon, among whom he became a riding minister, and in the year 1818 his wife was called the mother of all their chuches. No record has been found of any children."²

     Note: Please take notice of the discrepancy in the above statement. The quote from Case implies that Elizur and his wife joined the Shakers in 1787, yet their marriage date is given as 1799.³

     Hannah Goodrich was born on 23 October 1753.¹ She was the daughter of Benjamin Goodrich and Hannah Olmsted.¹ As of 30 August 1771,her married name was Hurlburt.¹ She married Zacheus Hurlburt of Pittsfield, Massachusetts on 30 August 1771.¹ She died on 10 March 1779 at age 25.¹

     Zacheus Hurlburt of Pittsfield, Massachusetts married Hannah Goodrich, daughter of Benjamin Goodrich and Hannah Olmsted, on 30 August 1771.¹

     Hezekiah Goodrich was born on 15 November 1755.¹ He was the son of Benjamin Goodrich and Hannah Olmsted.¹ He joined the Shakers in 1787 at N. Lebanon, New York.¹ He died on 5 January 1827 at age 71.¹

     Jeremiah Goodrich was born on 16 November 1757.¹ He was the son of Benjamin Goodrich and Hannah Olmsted.¹ He joined the Shakers in 1787 at N. Lebanon, New York.¹ He died on 30 June 1810 at age 52.¹

     Josiah Goodrich was born on 20 April 1760.¹ He was the son of Benjamin Goodrich and Hannah Olmsted.¹ He died while a prisoner of war on 8 August 1778 at age 18.¹
